Keep a readable copy before the ink fades

A clear photo now is easier to use than faded paper later.

Capture while the text is clear

Use even light and include the whole receipt. Check the supplier, date and final total against the image before saving.

A total on its own does not show what you bought. Keep the receipt image beside the fields so you can check the evidence again.

Save a private backup before changing phones. Check the new copy before removing the old one.

Check it on the phone. Keep the details with the copy.
